After the Saturday night attack on the RSS leader Brig Jagdish Gagneja (retd), various Hindu outfits have upped their ante against the SAD-BJP government.National president of the Shiv Sena (Punjab) Sanjeev Ghanoli and nation president of Shiv Sena (Hindustan) Pawan Gupta released a joint statement here condemning the attack and blaming the state government and the Punjab Police for the problem. “The attack took place in the heart of the city, but the police are still clueless after two days,” they said. They blamed the Punjab Police for having failed to crack the heinous murder of teenage boy Vidhu Jain in Malerkotla in September 2013 and also for no breakthrough in the case of missing Swami Krishanand of Gau Sewa Mission in Hoshiarpur since June this year.“In nine years, the Punjab government has done nothing which makes Hindus happy in the state. A grant sought for the upkeep of temples did not come and the entire funds have gone for constructing memorials.
A Rs 781-crore package went for riot-affected people in Delhi, with nothing coming for the terrorism affected families in Punjab,” they alleged adding that the situation prevailed when the BJP ruled at the Centre and was in ruling alliance in the state.Even the RSS leaders have been daily holding meetings and gave a memorandum on the issue to the administrations in all districts. Owing to the growing unrest, the paramilitary forces too have been deployed in the city today.Chugh for high-level probePHAGWARA: Strongly condemning the attack on the RSS leader, Brig Jagdish Gagneja (retd), BJP national secretary Tarun Chugh on Monday demanded a high-level probe into the attack.Chugh asked Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal to order a high-level probe into the matter so that the culprits were identified, arrested and punished according to the law.The BJP leader also asked DGP Suresh Arora to fix a deadline for the SIT constituted to crack this case.
