Agra beef party : Hindu organisations to continue protest till students expelledSummary: Sources said since the rooms of these three students haven’t been checked so far, it is expected that once they return the CIH inquiry panel, which found no evidence of the beef party in its preliminary findings, would question them and also conduct searches of their belongings for evidence of the purported beef party. Talking to TOI Convenor of Manch, Nand Kishore Balmiki, said, “their agitation would continue till the accused students are expelled and deported”.Claiming that the clean chit to the students was nothing but a “cover up” by the institute authorities, Balmiki said the photographs establish beyond doubt of what happened at CIH. The memorandum, which was submitted on the letterhead of the Dal, stated the act of the accused students had not only hurt the sentiments of Hindus but also created communal tensions in the city.
The memorandum demanded registration of cases against the students and their expulsion. “How can they deny the incident after admitting that the accused are their students”, he said claiming that the beef party was indeed held there.VHP spokesperson, Parmendra Jain, also questioned the findings of the panel and said, “How can a report be submitted within 24 hours and that too without questioning the concerned students”. However, they are building pressure for action against the students, without making too much noise about it, sources claimed.Sources also claimed that the institute authorities are in touch with the three students, who are away to Delhi for Holi break, and have asked them to report immediately after the holidays.

AGRA: Notwithstanding the clean chit given by the eight member panel of the Central Institute of Hindi (CIH) to the three students accused of holding a beef party, right wing Hindu organisations continued their protests on Sunday and demanded registration of a FIR against the accused, besides pushing for their expulsion and deportation.Dubbing the inquiry a “sham”, activists of Dharam Jagran Manch, the outfit that involved in the “Ghar wapsi” movement in Agra, again held a brief protest at the Institute gate and submitted a memorandum to the authorities, demanding action even against CIH registrar and other staff members for allowing such activities under their watch.

He said the report is a “crude” attempt by the institute authorities to save itself of embarrassment.Jain said the VHP would continue to protest till the matter is resolved and action is initiated against the students and the staff.Another Hindu right wing activist and Patron of Rashtriya Gau Rakhsha Dal, Ajju Chauhan, said strict action should be initiated against the students and the CIH staff. The memorandum, which was submitted on the letterhead of the Dal, stated the act of the accused students had not only hurt the sentiments of Hindus but also created communal tensions in the city. The memorandum demanded registration of cases against the students and their expulsion. It also stated that no degrees should be conferred on these students.Meanwhile, it is reliably learnt that despite their public posturing, BJP and other right wing Hindu organisations too are under directions from their leaders of not doing anything from their side to “flare up” the issue.
