In view of growing violence nationally and globally, diverse faith groups are joining hands to pray together in Nevada on December 20.

Religious statesman Rajan Zed, who is coordinating this Service hosted by South Reno United Methodist Church, says that despite our seriously different religious traditions we need to come together in prayer, dialogue, and community to bring light and hope to the spreading darkness, many times affecting innocent people.

Rajan Zed, who is President of Universal Society of Hinduism, adds that this prayerful gathering of diverse faith communities, remembering and recognizing the victims and their suffering, will offer prayers for healing. Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Jewish, Native American, Baha’i, Shinto, etc., prayers will be delivered on the occasion. Guests will be invited to sign a banner with a pledge for peace and unity.
