DHARAMPURI : Building the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya would be the actual tribute to Ashoke Singhal. Thus said Ashutosh Shekhawat on Thursday during the ‘Asthi Kalas Yatra’ of the late Vishwa Hindu Parishad stalwart Ashoke Singhal in the Sarafa Bazar Neem Chowk.

The procession as a vehicle rally entered the city from the by-pass circle at 6 pm, where people paid their tributes to the departed leader while chanting slogans ‘long live Ashoke Singhal’ and waving saffron flags. Later the rally left for Manawar at 8 pm.

Shekhawat said “Ashoke Singhal dedicated his whole life for the cause of Hindutva. Be it the cause of saving cows, Ram Mandir issue, or spreading mass awareness for other Hindutva causes, he had always been in the forefront.” “In recent times, some of the celebrated personalities are complaining of intolerance in the country, while in reality there is no such thing. All these are basically nothing but a negative campaigning against Hindus in an organised manner. Why the so called intelligentsia was silent when 4.5L Hindus were forcefully displaced from Kashmir or when 38 Hindus were burnt alive in Godhra rail carnage? They have been returning their awards in protest but why are they not returning the prize money?” Shekhawat added.
