TTD advocates spiritual programme

Tirumala-Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Executive Officer D Sambasiva Rao today advocated that the chief motto of Managudi programme is to bring mass spiritual revolution among people.

An awareness programme with the Dharma Prachara Mandalis(DPMs) of various districts of Andhra Pradesh took place in Sveta Bhavan here.

Speaking on this occasion, the EO called up on the members of DPMs also to involve the local srivari sevakulu, Bhajan Mandali members, Self Help Groups, students in this mass temple programme which will be observed for three days from August 27. “This time we are distributing four crore Govinda Raksha Kankanams and our objective of public participation in Managudi becomes huge success of the Kankanams are worn by every devotee”, he added.

Later the Principal Secretary Revenue Endowments JSV Prasad said, temples are the identity of our rich culture, tradition and heritage. “The very sight of the presiding deity in our temples gives us both physical and mental strength and that is the greatness of our dharma. Every devotee should voluntarily take part in this programme in a big way and bring back past glory to the temples which are void of Pujas”, he maintained.
