What significance Cow has in Dharma, benefit of Cow Seva and today’s condition of Cows in Hindu society?

Bhagavad Puran is an reflection of Lord. Krishna philosophy. Lord Krishna knew that human will resist from Cow Seva, for this he explained the importance of Cow Seva in the form of son of Cow owner and took Cow Seva during his childhood. On Janmasthami – we offer butter to Lord Krishna, the butter comes from Cow. Lord Krishna even transformed the universe creator – Brahma to explain Cow Seva significance.  Once upon a time, Lord Krishna every morning went out with Cows for grass grazing etc. Lord Krishna never discriminated between rich and poor. Once he asked his friend SriDhama and other friends to get something for food next day for picnic, when the poor SriDhama asked his mother what should I take, his mother gives him butter milk Dish – he was shy and resisting the sharing of buttermilk. When Lord Krishna asked what do you have, SriDhama told he has got this Buttermilk, Lord Krishna tasted the buttermilk. Lord Brahma didn’t like this action and he took away all his friends and Cows to Brahmalok. When Lord Krishna saw this, he started travelling to Brahmalok and saw all his friends and Cows there. He was not happy with that, he created a form – Bhrama and occupied his heavenly seat. When real Bhrama came and was shocked to see the form on his heavenly seat, he apologized to Lord Krishna and all came back to earth. Lord Krishna has repeatedly helped Cows and has said that those who will do Cow Seva will immensely benefit from heavenly blessings. When Lord Krishna can dedicate so much of his time in his youth for Cow Seva, why can’t today’s society dedicate some time and resources for Cow Seva and protection.
