Modern Auto Services (MAS) and TATA, prominent automobile companies in the country, have joined members of the Indian community to celebrate the annual Desi Mela Festival in their quest to deepen the existing relationship.
TATA and MAS, the authorized dealer of Tata passenger and small commercial vehicles in the country, teamed up to sponsor this year’s festival organized by the Indian Women’s Association and the Indian Association of Ghana.
Speaking to the media in an interview, Daniel-Grant Quao, the Sales manager in charge of the TATA vehicles at MAS, noted that the Indian community constitute an important segment of his cliental base and as such “the company is supporting the festival to show appreciation for their commitment to the Tata brand and also deepen the bond that exists between the brand and the community on one hand and the new relationship with MAS.”
He said the gathering also provided a platform to further raise awareness of the new partnership between TATA and Modern Auto Services forged a couple of months ago.
The highpoint of MAS/TATA participation was the exhibition of the recently launched new Tata vehicles; the Aria, Manza and Vista which were the center of attraction.
In attendance was the MAS/TATA Goodie Men who offered branded souvenirs to the children and parents as well.
Desi Mela is a traditional Indian celebration, which the large Indian community of Ghana celebrates.
It’s the biggest expatriate event in Accra organized annually by the Indian Association of Ghana and the Indian Women’s Association.
It is essentially an evening of socialization, music, dance performances, food and shopping, with handicrafts, gifts and clothing much more in Indian style.
