BENGALURU: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagawat will wind up his one-week-long tour in the state on Wednesday.
During the last week, the RSS Sarsanghchalak had several interactions with various Sangh Parivar organisations and reviewed plans for this year and the next year.Besides this, he also took part in a convention of religious heads at Tumakuru, organised to mark the 50th anniversary of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad. He discussed issues like conversion, untouchability and westernisation of the Indian culture during the meet.
Bhagawat also inaugurated a playground named after senior RSS ideologue late H V Sheshadri at Sri Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana at Jigani on the outskirts of Bengaluru.
He also addressed over 6,500 professionals, who were RSS swayamsevaks.
During his stay in Bengaluru, he also interacted with children on Children’s Day at Hombegowda slum. The Rashtrothana Samsthana has been working in 210 slums in Bengaluru, including the one at Hombegowda Nagar. He also attended a marriage at an RSS leader’s house in Belagavi.
Bhagawat met several people from various of walks of life during his stay. Sources said that former Supreme Court judge and former Lokayukta Shivaraj Patil had invited him to his house. “Besides Patil, he also met a few people from the judicial fraternity,” a source said.
During his previous visit to Bengaluru, Bhagawat had met Infosys founder N R Narayana Murthy and Wipro chief Azim Premji.
