Manyabar Rashtrapatiji,

Subject: Submission On Vrindaban Project

We have just seen a press report “The Asian Age”, November 17, 2014) that you have laid the foundation of a sky-scraper temple in Vrindavan, considered as one of the holiest cities in the country.

Sir, we have a feeling the full or correct picture behind this private venture (namely, Surekha Ventures Pvt. Ltd.) has not been brought before you. It is a purely commercial venture despite the veneer of religiosity imposed on it in the name of Lord Krishna.

We had as private citizens received a copy of the promotional literature and had brought out the possible sinister motives and implications behind this project to the former Union Minister Shri Prakash Javadekar on September 12, 2014.

A copy of each of our mail along with the mailer that we had received to become a prospective buyer, is sent herewith. These will make things clear to your honourableself.

Manyabar, an information has since reached us that some Hindu activist outfits, feeling upset/aggrieved over this, are planning to stage protest demonstration against this project, thus besmirching your image and reputation.

Whatever be the ultimate result, the grave security implications of the accompanying hotel project must be duly assessed and suitable restrictions imposed right in the beginning as to who all can be permitted, rather who all cannot be allowed, to buy or stay therein. We mean in accompanying the five-star hotel- like accommodation with all its concomitant evil aspects, vitiating the holy atmosphere of this city of Hindu pilgrimage. The place, we envisage, will deteriorate to be one of the best cities for ‘Leela’ or fun and frolic as in the West. Sir, one reading of the promotional literature circulated (attached) will make this point crystal clear.

Sir, with all this, we are hopeful of action, as thought appropriate in the matter.

With kind regards,

D.C. Nath
