Man arrested for spying on Hindutva leaders Posted on September 28, 2014 by WHN COIMBATORE: Police arrested a 27-year-old man on Friday for trying to gather information about leaders of Hindu organisations.especially Hindu Makkal Katchi (Tamizhagam) founder president Arjun Sampath with the objective murder himA Shahul Hameed alias Vaikarai Shahul alias Kutti Ghulam of Vijayapathi village in Tirunelveli told police he had been asked to gather information by Kaja Mohideen, the key accused in the June 18 murder of Hindu Munnani leader K P S Suresh Kumar.Police said he was staying in his father-in-law’s house in Coimbatore and told his relatives that he was working as a scrap dealer. Police said Kutti Ghulam was a wanted for plotting the murder of Hindu Munnai leader Arjun Sampath. Preliminary investigation revealed that earlier he had been assigned the task to monitor the movement of Hindu Munnani leader Suresh Kumar and based on his information, Kaja Mohideen executed the murder.When Tamil Nadu police arrested Kaja Mohideen and others, Kutti ghulam had managed to escape and come to Coimbatore.Kutti Ghulam told police that Kaja Mohideen started an organisation Muslim Orunkinaippu Peravai (MOP) with plans of murdering Hindutva leaders.Police booked him under Sections 120 (B) (criminal conspiracy), 505 (ii) (statement conducing to public mischief) and 153 (A) (promoting enmity between different groups) of the IPC.
