Nalanda University, an ancient international centre of learning in Bihar has re-opened its gates for students after 800 years. Applications have been received from US, Russia, England, Spain, Germany, Japan among others. Speaking on the inauguration,Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj said “Nalanda is not only the name of a University, but it’s the name of a tradition.”
Niti Central, in conversation with Ashok Shau, a Hindu Rights Activist, and Professor Surendra Jain, VHP spokesperson, discussed how reopening Nalanda University will help India and the world gain academi enlightenment.
