Cow found slaughtered in woods VHP, Bajrang Dal stage protest

vhp-imgASHTA :  The Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal stage a demonstration to protest slaughtering of a cow in jungle near Nomania village under Siddiqganj police station area recently.

The right wing organisations have handed over a memorandum, addressed to collector Kavindra Kiyavat, to sub-divisional magistrate Narottam Bhargav demanding to immediately arrest the accused. While the villagers are restive, sub-divisional officer of police Rajendra Singh Jhala, Siddiqganj police station TI RS Chouhan mobilised a strong police force in the area to maintain law and order situation.

Giving details about the case, SDOP Jhala said a pregnant cow owned by Prakash Singh Barela, son of Sur Singh Barela, resident of Nomania village, went to the jungle near the village for grazing in the morning on July 13. Barela went to the jungle with other villagers on the next day to search for the cow when she did not return till evening. However the search party could not locate the cow and returned from the forest.

On Monday, the chopped down organs of the slaughtered cow were spotted near a nullah outside the village. The cops registered a case against the unidentified accused under section 379 of the IPC and the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960. Besides, members of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal including Ajit Shukla, Suresh Surana, Satyendra Solanki and others have asked SDM Bhargav to arrest the accused who killed the cow and take action against them under National Security Act.
