All pro-Hindu organizations should learn from HJS which promptly tries to stop abuse of national flag !
Mumbai : In the forthcoming titled ‘Dirty Politics’ directed by K C Bokadia, actress Mallika Sherawat is shown with national flag wrapped around her naked body. On learning about the matter, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) immediately wrote to Film Censor Board demanding that the said film should not be issued certificate for release as it is an offence under 195 A of Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971. National Flag means its picture, photograph, any of its part painted or thing similar to ‘tri-colour’ or symbolic to it. It is a grave offence to show naked body wrapped in national flag who is engaged in vulgar acts, says the letter. In HJS’ letter, information about its campaign to maintain honour of national flag is also given.
Shri. Shivaji Vatkar, the Coordinator of HJS contacted Shri. Rakesh kumar, Chief Executive Officer of Censor Board in this connection when he informed that the film was not yet issued certificate for release. Shri. Vatkar told him that the film was to be released in June 2014. HJS has so far written many protest letters to Censor Board but it did not respond positively to any letter. The Board issues its usual stereo-type letter; as a result, denigration of Deities and Dharma has been continuing through films. At least now, the Board should prevent abuse of national flag and remove objectionable part from the film or should not issue certificate for release to this film. Shri. Rakesh kumar has promised to keep HJS’ contention in mind while issuing certificate to the said film; as also write to HJS.
Patriotic citizens are registering protest on the following number/ address.
Central Board of Film Certification, Bharat Bhavan, 91 E, Walkeshwar Raod, Mumbai -4
