Irate Hindus protest introduction of HANUMAN beer in Colorado, demand its withdrawal

Colorado/New Delhi: Odd 13 Brewing Inc – a Colorado based brewery as been asked call back what it has named “Hanuman beer” by a group of irate Hindus who reportedly protested against the brand terming the name highly inappropriate.
 
Distinguished Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, said that inappropriate usage of Hindu deities or concepts or symbols for commercial or other agenda was not okay as it hurt the devotees.
 
Odd13 Brewing, Inc, founded by Kristin Scott and Ryan Scott, claims: ?Our beers have character, and are characters? and adds that their ?every beer has a personality?.
 
Zed, who is president of Universal Society of Hinduism, stressed that Lord Hanuman was highly revered in Hinduism and he was meant to be worshipped in temples or home shrines and not to be used in selling beer for mercantile greed.
