Bajrang Dal, affected people demand rehabilitation,compensation

imagesJammu, June 4: Scores of Bajrang Dal activists along with residents of Gole-Gujral, who were rendered homeless in Jammu Development Authority’s (JDA) anti-encroachment drive, today held a demonstration demanding rehabilitation of the displaced persons who have genuine ownership rights.
They also demanded proper compensation for the loss caused to them in the demolition drive.
The protesters assemble outside Press Club, Jammu and raised slogans against the JDA for rendering homeless the genuine people having proper ownership f land.
They said that despite being the legal owners of the land, JDA demolished their shelters and rendered them homeless without issuing any notice.
“We had purchased land from the owners and have all the valid documents including registry besides other documents, but despite that we were considered as encroachers, which is total injustice with us”, protesters said.
Holding legal documents in their hands, protesters were raising slogans against state government and JDA authorities for damaging their houses.
Bajrand Dal leaders condemned the action of JDA and police for demolishing the houses constructed on the land duly purchased under valid sale deeds and other important documents issued by the Revenue Department.
They demanded restoration of the plots to the lawful owners and compensation for the loss caused to them.
