A male teacher of Hindu College Bambalapitiya was found dead in the school hostel this morning, the police media unit said.
The police said that the teacher was found hanging from the neck in what seemed to be suicide. However his family members raised suspicion over his death.
According to the police, the body of 37 year old Francis, a resident of Kuliyapitiya, was found in the hostel room. His family members say he was in a good mental state at the time of his death and was not in any kind of trouble, as far as they knew.
The police are investigating to see if he was murdered or if it was suicide.
