VHP demands President to escalate Hindu Nationalist Leader “Modi’s” security as terrorists plan to assassinate BJP leader

New Delhi: Vishwa Hindu Parishad has written a letter to the President Pranab Mukherjee in which it has demanded an extra security cover for BJP’s PM nominee Narendra Modi. The group, in the letter, has speculated that there are chances of some terrorist activities against Modi that could lead to his death.
The leader of VHP Ashok Singhal has said that the Gujarat Chief Minister Modi might face a similar attack which had earlier been faced by former Prime Minister Rajeev Gandhi. He requested Mr Mukherjee to escalate the level of security given to Modi.
Intelligence Bureau (IB) also recently issued a high alert saying that suicide bombers may target Modi. According to the information derived, the IB warned that the attackers will apply the same tactics that they did in the assassination of Rajeev Gandhi.
The attacker who will appear as the supporter of BJP and Modi might be loaded with gun and will choose any rally as his place where he can execute the killing.
This is not for the first time that VHP has raised concerns about Modi’s security. Once they claimed that terror group Indian Mujahideen is planning an attack on Modi. Thay said that the danger surged as Modi said that he will bring Daud back to India.
Modi, who is contesting in the Lok Sabha election from Varanasi and Vadodara, is on the hit list of several terrorist organized since quite a long time now. His rally in Patna last year was targeted by militants and several bombs exploded one by one. There are reports that suggest that IM operative Yasin Bhatkal, who is in police custody, has told

investigators that Modi is the prime target.
