SNDP has Always Stood for Unity of Hindus: Vellappally

kerala-location-mapThe SNDP has always stood for the unity of Hindus, from the Nayadis to Namboothiris. The NSS also come under this group. If one ‘Nair’ backs out, it will not affect the unity of Hindus, said SNDP general secretary Vellappally Natesan.

He was delivering the keynote address at the centenary celebrations of ‘Kayal Sammelanam’ of the KPMS in Kochi on Sunday.

The conference was inaugurated by Gujarat Chief Minister and BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.

On Modi, he said: “He was projected as someone who sows seeds of communalism and the reason behind Gujarat carnage.

Even I believed so when the riots occurred. The media had written a lot about him. We did not know the facts.

But he emerged victorious in the next election. We saw that even Muslims had supported him.”

Natesan pointed out that even though the state has 14 Dalit MLAs and two Dalit Ministers, their position has not been fruitful for the community.

He exhorted KPMS activists to raise their voice and claim their ‘birthright’.

“You have to show the public that you can hold a position in the Secretariat,” he said.

The function was attended by T V Babu, KPMS general secretary, V Muraleedharan, BJP state president, among others.
