Communal clash in Delhi’s Geeta colony: RSS flag torn, children beaten up

At least seven persons were injured as clash erupted between two communities at Rani Garden area of Geeta Colony in East Delhi on Thursday night after RSS flag was torn by some miscreants. As per reports, when children residing in the colony protested, they were beaten black and blue by the other group of miscreants.

Police said that the clash broke out after a ball hit a person belonging to one community, which was holding a meeting at the playground. Thereafter, fight erupted between the two groups and later took a violent turn when several others joined them.

People from the two groups protested outside the Geeta Colony police station demanding registration of an FIR. Several vehicles were also damaged by the agitating people.

Reports say police has detained eight people in the case and injured have been admitted to the nearby hospital.
