Sangli (Maharashtra) : On Thursday, 26th December, Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha (sabha) was held at Tarun Bharat Stadium which witnessed assent of Hindu unity. Hindus expressed their resolve to establish Hindu Rashtra in Sangli city which is blessed by Lord Ganesha. It was the 7th big ‘sabha’ in Sangli district.
‘Pujya’ (Kum) Swati Khadye, a Saint from Sanatan Sanstha, Shri. Manoj Khadye, Coordinator of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and advocate Sandip Apshingekar addressed the ‘sabha’. Pu. (Kum) Swati Khadye lighted lamp in the beginning; followed with recitation of ‘Veda-mantras’ by ‘Veda-murty’ Vijay Joshi, Anil Pujari, Shrinivas Gadgil and Yayati Abhyankar. Advocate Nilesh Sangolkar did compeering of the ‘sabha’. Kum. Pratibha Tavare of HJS explained the background of HJS and purpose of ‘sabha’. Shri. Jayagond Kore, Dy. District-President of BJP Yuva-Morcha had helped by displaying advertisements about the ‘sabha’ on ST buses for which he was felicitated at the hands of Pu. (Kum.) Swati Khadye.
Follow up meeting will be held on 29th December at 6.00 p.m. at Sri Kalikadevi Mandir at Sangli and on 28th December at 7.00 p.m. at Ambamata Mandir, Miraj to plan further course of action on Dharmajagruti and Dharma-rakshan. An appeal was made to devout Hindus to take part in these meetings.

Police did video-recording of many things in the ‘sabha’. They did shooting of Reception Cell, all display boards exhibited at the venue and were in general behaving as if; it was crime to hold Dharmajagruti Sabha. Special incidents
20 devout Hindus had come from Tanang village in Miraj District. Many devout youth came for the ‘sabha’ from Yelawi, Manerajuri, Shirgaon, Nagaon etc. from Tasgaon taluka.
