Daryapur (Amaravati) : One Hindu boy, about 15 yrs of age, went to a shop of a Muslim to buy sugar. The shopkeeper abused him instead of giving sugar and said bad words. The brother of Hindu boy took Muslim vendor to task; therefore, other Muslims gathered at that place, beat up this Hindu and later, more than 100 armed Muslims attacked family of this Hindu; so also their neighbours with bricks, bamboos and iron rods. (100 armed Muslims cam come together so quickly, indicates it was a pre-planned attack. – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat) 6 Hindus have been seriously injured in the attack. The incident took place in the night of 20th December. Police have taken into custody more than 6 persons. On learning about the attack, Superintendent of Police (anti- riots) reached the place of incident and additional police force have been deployed at Daryapur; but by then, all Muslim attackers ran away.
