Tension mounts after Hindu temple bull found killed

Tension prevailed in Kanjirappally after miscreants killed a temple bull at Sree Gnapathiyaar Kovil on Sunday.

A Hindu Aikya Vedi leader said the bull was found strangled to death nearly hundred meters from the small shed where it was sheltered during the night. The hind and forelegs of the bull were found tied to the pillars of the nada panthal of the temple, leading to the sanctum. Temple authorities found the bull dead early in the day.

Hindu Aikya Vedi activists called a hartal in Kanjirappally town and shops remained shut throughout the day. Believers took out a march in the town in the afternoon.
