If you would like to celebrate the life and achievements of Nelson Mandela, there’s a multifaith memorial service planned at a Richmond Hill temple this Sunday.

Representatives from the Canadian Museum of Hindu Civilization and Vishnu Mandir on Yonge Street, just north of Hwy. 7, invite everyone in the community to a multifaith service for the South African statesman who died Dec. 5 and is being eulogized around the world this week.

“In keeping with his belief in global peace, we will offer multifaith prayers from religions across the world, including Islam, Judaism, Christianity and Hinduism,” says the service invitation signed by Anita Anand, chairperson of the Museum of Hindu Civilization and Dr. Budhendra Doobay, president of the museum and chairperson of the Vishnu Mandir temple.

The service will start at 1 p.m. at the temple, 8640 Yonge St.
