“26/11 mastermind Hafiz Saeed frames Pakistan’s India policy: Intel report “
An intelligence assessment sent to the Defence Ministry by the Indian mission in Pakistan has claimed that Jamaat-ud-Dawa chief and 26/11 mastermind Muhammad Hafiz Saeed actively participates in framing Islamabad’s anti-India policy, a report published in Mail Today said. Everything is being done with the approval of Nawaz Sharif Government.
The memo further says that Pakistan’s ISI (Inter-Services Intelligence) is religiously following the diktats of Saeed.
The report further states that 26/11 mastermind has set up his base of operations from Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi while its headquarters is based at Muridke.
The intelligence assessment further states, “There seems to be an underlying arrangement between the Government and the JuD to provide Saeed some space for promoting his agenda of fanning anti-India sentiment in Pakistanis.”
The assessment also notes that in Bahawalpur, Saeed warned those declaring Kashmir as an integral part of India that, “India would disintegrate if Kashmiri people were not granted right of self- determination.”
