BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Saturday addressed a massive rally in Assam’s Silchar where he lashed out at Congress for its vote bank politics which is responsible for shrinking job opportunities for the local population because of Bangladeshi migrants. He also promised to ensure their return to their native country after BJP coming to power.
“The sources of livelihood available in Assam is for the local population. But the opportunities for people of Assam is shrinking due to influx of Bangladeshis who are creating trouble for local population due to the Congress’s vote bank politics,” Modi said.
He added, “There are two types of people who are coming to India from Bangladesh. One who are working to serve the purpose of Congress’s vote bank politics. The other ones are those who are being persecuted in Bangladesh because they are Hindus. Trust me, after coming in power, we will ensure the return back of those who are surviving here due to vote bank politics. At the same time we will duly accommodate the Hindus in India who have come from Bangladesh due to persecution.”
