Pak, ISIS, LeT Flags Waved in Srinagar in Anti-National Rally on the Eve of Eid-ul-Fitr. Indian Tricolour set ablaze to celebrate Ramzan.

Sumitra Kaul | HENB | July 17, 2015:: Provocative clashes broke out today between a group of Muslim youths and State and National security forces here in Srinagar, the summer capital of J&K during which some separatist elements waved flags of Pakistan, Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) and ISIS, following the Juma-tul-Wida namaz held on the last Friday of the gory month of Ramadan (Ramzam).

As soon as Friday prayers got over at Jami Masjid in the Nowhatta area of the city, a group of Jihadi youths  wearing skull cap and sporting long beards waved the controversial flags and raised pro-separatist and pro-Pakistani slogans, officials said. The fanatic Muslims were shouting slogans against India, Hindus, BJP and so called demographic change of Kashmir due to yearly Amarnath Yatra, as reported. The Jihadis also raised slogans against Israel and US.

Police on duty had to fire tear gas shells to disperse the stone-pelting mob and restore law and order.

The officials said that the Muslim youths also set fire to the tricolour before marching towards Nowhatta Chowk on their way towards Khanyar Chowk.

However, they were stopped by a large contingent of police and CRPF personnel stationed there, triggering the clashes, which were still going on when reports last came in, the officials said. There is no report of anybody being hurt in the incident, they added.

The incidents took place during the Indian PM Modi’s visit to Jammu at the same time slot.

Unfortunately, the deployed security in the spot of clash, could not stop the burning of National Flag of India, nor to seize any flags of Pakistan, Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) or ISIS.

Reacting to the matter of burning of national Flag in Kashmir valley, a senior Bajrangdal leader told HENB in Jammu, that the Indian security troop must thrash such perpetrators or such highest offence and burn all Pakistani, ISIS and LeT flags publicly after seizing.

There have been more than a dozen incidents of ISIS flag being raised in Kashmir valley in recent months.

ISIS is a banned organisation in the country. The group has taken over a large part of Iraq and Syria and is known for its brutality towards hostages.

Waving of flags of Pakistan, ISIS and LeT in a programme indicates that the Kashmir separatist movement is jointly conducted under an International Islamic conspiracy.
