RSS sends its man to supervise Nepal rescue ops

Sources said that RSS volunteers in Nepal and those from bordering districts of Uttar Pradesh and bihar have rushed to Kathmandu.

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has deployed Sah Sarkaryawah Dattatreya Hosabale in Nepal to supervise the rescue operation being run there by volunteers.

RSS All India Sah Prachar Parmukh J Nandakumar told The Indian Express that Hosabale left for Nepal Sunday. Nandakumar said that RSS already has its set up in various parts of Nepal.

Sources said that RSS volunteers in Nepal and those from bordering districts of Uttar Pradesh and bihar have rushed to Kathmandu and other earthquake-affected areas for helping the administration in relief and rescue operations.

Meanwhile, BJP MP from Gorakhpur Yogi Adityanath has announced that earthquake affected people can take shelter in Gorakshnath Temple, where he is the head priest. He said that apart from accommodation and food, the affected people will be provided medical help at Gorakhsnath Hospital.

Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) working president Pravin Togadia too has announced that the India Health Line and Hindu Help Line medical teams were ready to leave for Nepal from Gorakhpur and Patna. For Indian states that got affected, the district-wise teams have been already formed to carry out  relief measures. Togadia has also appealed the masses to donate minimum Rs 1,000 and above for arranging essential medicines and other supplies.
