Nandurbar (Maharashtra) : Cows and cattle are the main base of economy of Indians. There is no wealth like cows and cattle on this earth. Tipu Sultan wanted to convert whole of Southern India to Islam; but due to the opposition by British, he was not successful in his goal. He never fought for freedom of this country; so how can he be called a freedom fighter ? Will it not be wrong ? As soon as Tipu Sultan got power over Southern India, he took an oath in his court room that he would convert all Hindus to Islam. He gave orders to kill all Hindu men and distribute Hindu women amongst Muslims. He converted 50,000 Hindus in one day and set up a special troop of fanatics. The District Administration should, therefore, take a note of the same and take stringent action against those who wanted to name a chowk in Nandurbar after Tipu Sultan, stated H. H. Nandkumar Jadhav of Sanatan Sanstha.
An appeal was made to Hindus during Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha held on 18th January by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) which was reciprocated by more than 2500 Hindus by participating in the march taken out on 27th January; thus doing their duty towards Dharma. H. H. Nandkumar Jadhav addressed the meeting held after conclusion of the march. For the first time, Hindus exhibited such strong unity to the Government Administration on the issue of hurting of their religious sentiments. Several organizations, Sects, office bearers of political parties, traders and businessmen participated in the march.
