VHP leader asks Hindus to use helpline no. to stay safe

In an attempt to ensure security of Hindus across the globe, VHP leader Dr Pravin Togadia on Sunday talked about use of online media. Speaking at the World Hindu Congress, he said that the VHP has already started providing help to Hindus in distress through a round-the-clock “Hindu helpline” in the country and the same can be extended to global platform through interlinking various online tools like social media.

Dr Togadia said that the VHP helpline has helped more than 50,000 Hindus across the country and the same can be extended to global platform to protect Hindus. “Around 300 million Hindus worldwide are connected through Internet, WhatsApp, Facebook and Twitter. Internet can be used to form global helpline to protect human rights violation of Hindus in any part of the world.”

Earlier this year, the VHP had launched a helpline number 020-66803300 to help Hindus in distress. “We try to provide instant help to the caller in distress. The attempt is to make the Hindu feel proud and secure of being part of a network of over 100 crore,” the VHP leader emphasised.

Dr Togadia also released the VHP’s ‘vision 2025’, the centenary year of RSS foundation. He said that the VHP continues to work for cohesively united Hindu, health and economic prosperity of the community.

“The VHP will provide free education to one lakh villages by next 10 years. The number of free hostels will be increased from 146 to 500 and a special drive will be launched for girls’ education in all the districts of country in 2014-15,” he added.

By next 10 years, the VHP is planning to open around 4.5 lakh chapters in the country.
