Union Minister Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti has said that a temple of Lord Ram would be constructed at Ayodhya with the consensus of all sections of the society, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
On her first visit to her parliamentary constituency after being appointed as Minister of State for Food Processing Industries at the Centre, Jyoti while talking to the reporters last night said PM Modi would get a temple constructed at Ayodhya with the consensus of all sections of the society.
Stressing that Ayodhya was the birthplace of Lord Ram, who is worshipped by people of the world, the minister said, constructing the temple was the duty of all countrymen.
Jyoti alleged that senior cabinet minister Mohd Azam Khan was outspoken and tarnishing the image of his own government.
She said there was no need of opposition to pull down SP government in Uttar Pradesh, instead leaders like Azam were sufficient.
She also stressed she would ensure all round development of Fatehpur.
VHP to use ‘full energy’ to build Ram temple
Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) will use all its resources and energy to construct a grand Ram temple at Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh, its leader Pravin Togadia said on Sunday. “The VHP will use its full resources and energy to construct a Ram temple at Ayodhya,” Togadia told the media here.
He said the Ram temple was the VHP`s main agenda.
“The VHP has never forgotten the agenda of Ram temple nor will it forget it. We will construct the temple at any cost.”
Togadia said the temple in Ayodhya won`t be built due to anyone`s benevolence. “It will come up thanks to the powerful unity of the Hindus.”
He said the VHP would raise the temple issue before the Bharatiya Janata Party at the “right time”.
VHP supporters razed the 16th century Babri Masjid in Ayodhya Dec 6, 1992, triggering widespread riots. They then built a small Ram temple at the site that is now heavily protected.
The VHP has repeatedly declared its intention to construct a grand Ram temple on the ruins of the Babri mosque.
Togadia also expressed serious concern over the illegal entry into India of Bangladeshis and urged the central government to stop it.
He said the World Hindu Congress would be held in Delhi Nov 21-23 to mark the the 50th anniversary of VHP. It will be attended by 1,500 delegates from around the world.
