Emergency Town Hall Meeting’ Called Following Anti-Hindu Vandalism In Virginia Town

n-VIRGINIA-large570Loudoun law enforcement officers, elected officials, religious leaders and representatives of the FBI met with nearly 200 county residents Friday to discuss concerns over an ongoing series of anti-Hindu vandalism cases in Ashburn.

The “emergency town hall meeting” at Creighton’s Corner Elementary School, hosted by state Del. David I. Ramadan (R-Loudoun) and Loudoun Commonwealth’s Attorney James Plowman, aimed to inform the public about more than a dozen recent incidents involving anti-Hindu messages scrawled across exercise stations, park benches, a pedestrian tunnel and community signs in the Brambleton area. The meeting also aimed to convey a unified and unambiguous response to the vandalism.
