Those of you have seen/experienced the entire gamut of “Durga Puja” would have seen this remarkable facet of this Puja soon after the priest declares the Puja rites over.
This is captured in the beautiful photograph (appearing on page-13 (supplement of “The Asian Age” of October 5, 2014), depicting what is known as “Baran Utsav“. The exclusive participants in this event could only be married ladies. They play what is called “Sindur (vermillion) Khela“.
