NDA government moving in right direction, should be given more time: RSS chief

Mohan-Bhagwat-123+bigNew Delhi: Hailing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s endevours, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Friday said that the NDA government “is moving in the right direction and should be given more time before it’s being judged”.

In his customary Dussehra rally at the RSS headquarters in Nagpur, Bhagwat said, “It is only six months but positive signs are already emanating.”

Backing Modi, Bhagwat said, “It is moving in the right direction, but we will have to give them time… Nobody has a magic wand by which all the problems of many years will disappear.”

He was also all praise about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent US trip. “PM Modi’s visit to the US was a huge success. He was given a rousing welcome there,” he noted.

“A new ray of hope has entered in the hearts of the people. The entire country was feeling proud of the visit and the subsequent talks with the US government. The world needs India, “ he added.

He also appealed people to participate in ‘Swachch Bharat Abhiyan’ started off by PM on Gandhi Jayanti.

Moving on Bhagwat said, “positive signs are emanating that give people the hope that India is emerging stronger on the international stage.”

He said people should give some more time to the government for expedition and efficient execution of its policies.

Unless the last person in the country feels satisfied with welfare initiatives, security and safety, the government cannot complete its task, Bhagwat said.

He also lauded the efforts of the Centre and volunteers of the RSS for undertaking rescue works in Jammu and Kashmir which has recently witnessed worst-ever floods.

While paying homage to those killed in the floods, Bhagwat said, “Our sympathies are with the families.”

The swiftness, efficiency and open-heartedness of the Central government that has provided relief to the affected people, deserves appreciation, he said.

Meanwhile, Bhagwat also congratulated the athletes winning laurels in the Incheon Asian Games.

The RSS chief touched upon a wide range of topics ranging from ancient Indian traditions to the regional situation, current global scenario, terrorism and India’s future role and significance in world affairs.
