Bengaluru: In a secret joint operation, Bengaluru and Tamil Nadu police on Wednesday reportedly arrested killers of Suresh, a right wing activist of Hindu Munnani from Tamil Nadu, from the heart of the city. Suresh was killed on June 18 in Ambattur.

Top officials told Deccan Chronicle that they arrested the prime accused, Abdul Shameem, and his accomplices Sadiq and Shahid Ali Nawaz. A Bengaluru resident, Samiullah, who had provided the jihadis shelter in his house in Viveknagar, has also been arrested.

“The accused are hardcore fundamentalists from Tamil Nadu. They had taken shelter here to evade arrest. We are investigating their links here,” said a senior police officer. The accused were produced in a local court and taken to Tamil Nadu on Wednesday.
