Severed head of calf found, Hindu activists register protest

headUjjainCarcass and a severed head of a calf were found on Tuesday near the community hall of Dhancha Bhawan, triggering protests by pro-Hindu activists, police said. The incident was reported after a local BJYM leader reached at the spot and called other Hindu activists, including members of Yuva Shiv Sena Gau Raksha Nyas to the spot. Seeing the tense condition, heavy police force was called on to the spot. But protesting activists demanded immediate arrest of the accused and sought a postmortem of the carcass. The protesters also took out procession with the calf’s body to Chimanganj Mandi police station. Later, a local youth was taken into custody by the police, who is believed to be a butcher of the area, after which the activists turned down their protest.
