The BJP chief is likely to meet RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and general secretary Bhayyaji Joshi

The newly appointed president of the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) Amit Shah will hold a meeting with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) top brass at RSS headquarters here, on Friday.

According to Mr.Chandan Goswami, the head of BJP media cell in Vidarbha, Mr.Shah will arrive by 11 am flight and will visit Deekshabhoomi (the place where Dr.Ambedkar had converted to Buddhism with his followers).

“He will then hold discussions with BJP Maharashtra president Devendra Fadnavis at his home. At 4 pm, the BJP president will visit RSS headquarters for a meeting with the RSS leaders,” Mr.Goswami told The Hindu.

Mr. Goswami also informed that the RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat would be present in the meeting and RSS general secretary Bhayyaji Joshi could also attend the meeting.

It’s a “ritual” for the new party chief to visit RSS headquarters, says sources.

” Nitin Gadkari had met RSS chief and sought his blessings immediately after being appointed as BJP chief. Even Rajnath Singh had followed the tradition. So Amit Shah is only following the rituals,” said a source closes to Gadkari in Nagpur.

The agenda of Friday’s meeting could not be confirmed but sources said that the upcoming Assembly elections especially in Maharashtra and the tussle between BJP and Shivsena will be on the agenda of the meeting.
